With a career spanning 18 years, Ruth has worked in multiple areas of the events industry, from managing venues to running events for in-house teams and heading up the sales and marketing for leading event catering brands. This breadth of experience has resulted in her twice being included in the list of 100 most influential people in the UK events industry.
Ruth has responsibility for the creative team of party designers and event planners for both deWintons and The Admirable Crichton and enjoys driving the business forward, building on the strong reputations of both companies.
In those elusive spare moments, she enjoys walking and attempting to train her second Battersea rescue dog and walking her way round London's most interesting restaurants.
Jenny Sharland joined the AC and deWintons in 2015 with over 14 years experience. South African by birth and having worked for Conde Nast in Cape Town, she moved to London to develop her events industry experience. Her UK experience started at The Royal Festival Hall and British Library and for the past 6 years was Sales Account Director for another caterer.
Excellent food and wine are two of Jenny’s passions and she was keen to join The AC and deWintons to work with clients and team members who also share her ethos. Her extensive knowledge of London’s venues together with her planning and management expertise contributes to the success of her parties.
When not at work she is a keen runner and touch rugby player. Could this contribute to her excellence in ‘running’ an amazing event?
